Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest 2011

Expanding the Festival Experience

The 2011 Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest continued its growth as a key platform for horror, fantasy, and genre cinema, presenting a robust lineup of international and local feature films and short films. With programming spanning multiple countries and genres, the festival reinforced its role as a meeting point for filmmakers and audiences, while increasing its visibility both locally and internationally through expanded media coverage and participation within the Latin American Alliance of Fantastic Film Festivals.

Beyond screenings, the 2011 edition expanded its cultural and educational offerings with industry talks, special events, and community-driven initiatives. Highlights included a Lifetime Achievement Award honoring actor Tony Todd, themed events like the “Fashionably Spooky Show,” and social impact activities such as a blood drive in collaboration with the American Red Cross. These additions further positioned the festival as a dynamic cultural experience that blends cinema, education, and community engagement.
